Use the Data page

Browse every approved record in the data table, download a record as a PDF, follow each report's review stage, and delete or expire records.

For: Validators, Partners, Institutional users, Donors, Administrators

The Data page is the full dataset behind the homepage maps. It is for staff accounts: choose Data in the top menu, or Open full Data beside the homepage map. Public and signed-out visitors who open it are sent back to the homepage.

What is on the page

From top to bottom:

  1. The record count and the Upload data button. See Upload many records from a CSV or JSON file.
  2. Where the data comes from: the sources (community reports and official agencies), how a record is processed, and what that means when you use it. Read it once before you quote the data.
  3. Review stage: every report you are allowed to see, at whatever stage it has reached.
  4. The data table: every approved record.

The data table

The table, Province · City · Location · Hazard, drills down one level at a time:

  1. Click a province to see its cities and districts.
  2. Click a city or district to see its locations.
  3. Click a location to see its hazard records.
  4. Click a record for the detail: description, coordinates, its Source line, and Download PDF for that record.

Each level shows how many records it holds. A record without valid coordinates is marked off-map: it is in the table, but not on the map.

Review stage

Every report is at one of three stages: Submitted, Approved or Denied. Use the stage chips to see one stage or All. Narrow the list with:

The list says Showing N of M; Show 10 more loads the next ones. A denied report shows Refused: and its reason (or "no reason given"), and every decided report shows when it was Decided.

Who can act here:

Role What you can do
Validator, Institutional Approve or Deny a report that has not been decided yet. Denying asks for an optional reason the reporter will see, then Confirm refusal.
Administrator The same, and also reverse a decision: deny an approved report, or approve a denied one.
Partner, Donor Read only.

Delete or expire a record

Validators, institutional users and administrators see two buttons on a record's detail. Anyone else sees them only on records they uploaded themselves.
