Read the app's hazard and relief map: what each mark means, the map options button, filters, the forecast and official figures, and opening a report.
For: Everyone
The Map tab shows what is happening across Pakistan: hazards people reported, relief on offer, official NDMA and PDMA figures, and where the weather forecast suggests danger. No account is needed.
Two buttons at the top switch the map between Hazards and Relief. The map stays where you were.
In Hazards mode, the buttons under them (Last 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, All time) choose how far back reported hazards go.
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A pin | One report, or one place with official casualty figures. Its point is the place. The picture on it shows the hazard type. |
| A shaded circle with a round number | Several reports of one hazard close together: an affected area. The number counts the incidents. |
| A dashed circle with a square badge | A forecast or an official advisory: something that may happen, not something that has. |
| A shaded province | Official figures for the whole province. NDMA does not give a place below province level. |
| Small dots or hollow pins (Relief) | Hospitals, clinics and other facilities from OpenStreetMap. Zoom in to see pins instead of dots. |
Solid means it happened. Dashed means it is expected.
The round button in the bottom corner opens Map options. Tap an option to use it:
In Relief mode, the options are Filters and Legend, plus Relief response (official relief figures) when NDMA has published relief figures in the last 14 days.
The Source line says who reported it. A public user is shown as Public user, never by name, followed by who approved it. A facility's sheet has Open in Google Maps, for directions.
Tap the round crosshair button at the top of the map. The first time, Android asks for your location. A blue pin shows where you are.
