How public users earn bronze to platinum badges for relief camps, where to see your badge and progress in the app, and how the notification bell works.
For: Public users
Public users earn a badge for listing relief camps that reviewers approve. In the app you can see your badge, how close you are to the next one, and your notifications. Badges are given on the website only: nothing in the app can award or change one.
| Badge | Approved relief camps |
|---|---|
| Bronze badge | 3 |
| Silver badge | 6 |
| Gold badge | 9 |
| Platinum badge | 12 |
Only approved camps count. A camp linked as a duplicate of another report does not. Staff accounts do not earn badges.
An administrator can also award a badge directly.
Tap Menu, then My badge. The Relief camp badges screen shows:
Mark a relief camp opens the relief form.
When you are signed in, a bell in the top bar shows your notifications. A number on it counts the unread ones.
If a badge was declined, the notification shows the validator's Reason:, word for word. With nothing to show, the list says No notifications yet.
The app checks for new notifications about once a minute while it is open. It does not alert you about badges when it is closed.
The website version is in Earn a relief camp badge and read your notifications.
