List a relief camp from the app

Put a shelter, medical camp, water point or food distribution on the relief map from your phone, and choose how long it stays listed.

For: Public users

If you know where people can find shelter, medical care, water or food, you can list it so others can find it. Like a hazard report, a listing is checked by a reviewer before it appears on the map.

List a camp or aid point

  1. On the Map tab, tap Relief at the top, then tap the green Register Relief button. The form opens ready for relief. (You can also tap Report a Hazard and choose Relief / aid.)
  2. If you are not signed in, sign in first.
  3. Stand at the camp, or as close as you can, and tap Use my current location.
  4. Under Location name, type the camp's name or place, if it is empty.
  5. Under Relief type, pick Food Distribution, Water, Shelter or Medical.
  6. Under Available for, choose how long the listing stays up: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month or No expiry. It starts at 1 week.
  7. Under Description, say what is offered, the hours, and who it is for.
  8. Add a photo if it helps (see Report a hazard from the app).
  9. Tap Submit record.

What happens next

  1. A reviewer checks your listing.
  2. Once approved, it appears on the Relief map with a Relief / aid tag, and Available until the date you chose.
  3. After that date it is hidden from the map, so old offers do not mislead anyone. If the camp is still open, list it again.

The app cannot edit or remove a listing. A reviewer can take it down on the website.

Listings and badges

Each approved relief listing counts towards your badge: bronze at 3, silver at 6, gold at 9 and platinum at 12. A listing that a reviewer links as a duplicate of another does not count. See See your badge and notifications.
