Send a hazard report with your GPS location, a photo or a voice memo, and answer the "is this the same incident?" question when it appears.
For: Public users
Anyone with an account can report a hazard from the app. Every report goes to a reviewer first, and appears on the public map only once it is approved.
Is someone in danger right now? Call Rescue 1122 first: tap the red 1122 button at the top. A report on Nigraan is checked by a person before it is published, so it is not an emergency call.
Send a report
On the Map tab, tap Report a Hazard. If you are not signed in, the app asks you to sign in first, then opens the form.
Keep Hazard report selected at the top.
Tap Use my current location. Allow location if Android asks. The app fills in your coordinates and, if you have a connection, the place, city and province. Check them.
Under Location name, type the place as people would name it, if it is empty.
Under Hazard type, pick one: Flood, Earthquake, Fire, Landslide, Cyclone / Storm, Heatwave, Drought, Disease Outbreak, House Collapse, Lightning, Electrocution, Tree Fall or Other.
Under Description, say what you see: how bad it is, who is affected, when it started.
Add a photo or a voice memo if you can (see below).
Tap Submit record.
You see Submitted for review — it'll appear on the map once an admin approves it. With no signal, you see Saved offline instead, and the app sends it later: see Send reports with no signal.
Add a photo or a voice memo
Both are optional, and both are made smaller before they are sent.
Photo: tap Add a photo, then Take a photo or Choose from gallery. You see Photo attached. To change it, tap Remove photo.
Voice memo: tap Record a voice memo and speak. Tap Stop when you finish; a memo stops by itself after one minute. Tap Play to listen, or Remove voice memo to delete it.
Province, city and coordinates
These are under Province, city & coordinates, closed by default. Use my current location fills them. To set them by hand, tap the heading, choose a Province, then a City / District from that province's list, and type the Latitude and Longitude. A report without coordinates can still be sent, but it cannot go on the map.
"Is this the same incident?"
If someone already reported the same kind of hazard very close by, around the same time, the app asks Is this the same incident? and shows that report with its distance and time.
Yes, it's the same: your report is not sent. Instead, the app adds your confirmation to that report: Thanks — your confirmation was added to that report. The form stays open afterwards: tap the back arrow, and do not submit it again.
No, it's separate: your report is sent as a new one. The reviewer sees it was close to the other.
Cancel: back to your form, with nothing lost.
This matters because separate reports of one incident can send rescue teams to the same place twice.
What happens next
A reviewer checks your report. It is not public yet.
If it is approved, it appears on the map. Its Source line says Public user: your name is never shown publicly.
If it is not approved, it stays off the map, with any reason the reviewer gave.
Add coordinates whenever you can. A report without them cannot go on the map.
Report each incident once. If it is already on the map, there is no need to send another.
A photo or voice memo helps a reviewer trust what you saw.
Right after signing in from Report a Hazard, the form can stay on screen after you submit. If you saw Submitted for review, your report was sent: tap the back arrow, and do not submit it again.
